Staff

Loryn Sheffner is the Executive Director of the Kuehn Fellowship. Loryn brings to the part-time role 25 years of experience as a practitioner in community development real estate working across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.  She is enthusiastic about supporting the next generation of affordable housing leaders through the reach of the Fellowship and its expanding network of current and alumni Fellows.

When not leading the Kuehn Fellowship, Loryn is Founder and Principal at Avenue Development LLC and an avid rower.

Trustees

Robert L. Green and Daniel A. Taylor were appointed by Bob Kuehn and serve as trustees of the Foundation.

Bob was a founder of Longfellow Real Estate Partners in 2009 and since then has served as Chair of the Board.  He established the NYC office of Longfellow and planned and initiated its partnership with the New York Blood Center and the development of Longfellow’s Center East project there.  Prior to Longfellow, Bob co-founded and operated the Boston office of Lyme Properties and managed its Kendall Square, Cambridge project, which became the nation’s foremost life science cluster.  Bob is a resident of Boston and a graduate of John’s Hopkins University and the National Law Center at George Washington University. In addition to his work with Longfellow, Bob is active in affordable housing and has served for many years as Trustee of the Kuehn Charitable Foundation and a board member of the Martha’s Vineyard Island Housing Trust.

Dan practiced real estate and business law in Boston for more than 45 years, most recently with the DLA Piper law firm from which he retired as a partner in 2014. His practice focused on commercial real estate development, including representing owners in construction and design matters. He has served as General Counsel to the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards; Legal Counsel to the Governor of Massachusetts; Chair, Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission; General Counsel, Dukakis for President campaign; Trustee and Board Chair, University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees; member of the Trust for Public Lands New England Regional Advisory Committee and of the National Architectural Accrediting Board’s Board of Directors; and Treasurer, King’s Chapel, Boston, among other civic activities. He currently serves as a Trustee of the Kuehn Charitable Foundation.
